New Pieces
Barry Maleham’s collection of 21 piano pieces for the 21^st century entitled Sollingstücke has been published. The collection includes several pieces composed especially for DYM pupil performers which have been heard at a variety of matinees, competition venues and invitational concerts.  

Barry was  invited to perform his pieces at the EPTA conference in Liverpool in July

EPTA competitions in Gateshead and Cambridge

Winners in the first round earlier in the year were:

Fiona Wei Grades 1 – 3

Mark Race Grades 1 – 3

Matthew Calvert Grades 4 – 5

Laura Race Grades 6 – 7

Richard Allum Advanced II (in Cambridge)

These winners took part in the second round of the EPTA competition which was  held at Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester in the  May 2008
